Flight Crew

Besides routine check flights, our pilots undergo at least once per year regular Simulator-Check-Rides. But it’s the only way to prove that our pilots will be able to handle any situation in a perfect manner. All our Pilots in Command must show several thousands of flight hours in their records. That’s only one of several special company regulations, that reflects that our pilots always are more experienced than actually required by the civil aviation authorities.

FAI ´s pilots all have a broad knowledge of worldwide air ambulance flight services. Among the selection criteria for hiring, the pilots must be able to document extensive experience of several years in the field of special flight services.

With destinations in more than 146 countries, including hostile areas like Lybia, Iraq or Afghanistan, FAI Air Ambulance demonstrates safe and reliable services.

EURAMI re-accreditation

FAI  has one of the best air ambulance setups world-wide

The FAI Air Ambulance medical team (doctors, nurses and paramedics) aims at providing the best possible medical care to the patient. To achieve this objective it adheres to principles and guidelines of the EURAMI Accreditation Standards which are periodically revised criteria regarding the air medical service level of quality in terms of capabilities, medical management and qualifications, aircraft´s configuration and equipment, operational issues, communications, quality management, and/or specific requirements for fixed-wing aircrafts. These Accreditation Standards are based on legal standards of the European Union (European Standards, e.g. EN 13718-2), International expertise and the experience of leading European air medical services. The European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI) is an independent agency which audits and accredits fixed-wing and rotary-wing air medical transport services as well as ground inter-facility critical care services world-wide to a set of industry-established criteria.

FAI Air Ambulance Eurami Accredited Provider

In December 2022 FAI Air Ambulance passed for the third time the EURAMI re-accreditation audit according to the new quality standards showing proof that FAI  has one of the best air ambulance setups worldwide.
